Ideas, Time and Something different.

Hey all,

I’m breaking through the invisible wall, escaping from you, escaping from all.

Well, that’s it. Another well earned break from School and I’m so relieved I’ve decided to write up a post about a subject unfamiliar to my regular readers. Basically, I’ve been working on a writing project with a good friend of mine, and I thought I would just tell you about it (not enough to ruin it for you however, but intrigue you hopefully) and some of the planning stages we’ve been going through.

I’ll start off with where the idea sparked from. Basically, we’d just spent a good couple of hours playing Mario-Kart on the Nintendo WII and we decided to take a break and listen to a few songs on You-tube. One we were listening to was ‘Broken’ and we began to chat about how our usual projects never seemed to end, which was usually my own fault because I’ve never been able to stick to something for longer than a week. I hope I can change that however. Anyway, we’re both Doctor Who fans and suddenly, as we were trying to think of an idea, the title ‘Broken’ sent a wild and exciting idea bouncing around my cranium and I quickly grabbed a pen and wrote down the basis, and from there we worked.

Now, I wish I could tell you some of our ideas but we’ve got so many in so many different places that it’s difficult to even write out something to grip you. I mean, at first we got a lot of basic ideas down but then as time progressed we had to really think about it and then more importantly agree and come to a point in which we were both ‘cool’ with what would happen. The book is TIME based, and looking at it now, it’s been VERY hard to come up with ideas and such, and then find a way in which they could possibly work. Myself and Matthew (Check his blog out, link to the right) have had several nights of sheer planning on MSN and numerous times it’s been on one or two ideas that we’ve tried to perfect. We’re planning, I think, to do a trilogy and we have a lot of the first book and the background and characters for the whole thing sorted out. Anyway, it’s just a short blogpost, but before I end, here’s something of a teaser.

Smiling = Changing

Hey all,

Thou art the spirit in the mind, yet it sometimes thou leave it behind.

It’s been a while hasn’t it? My apologies, I’ve had both revision and a lack of inspiration to deal with, so, my bad. Anyway, before I begin, I have three lyrics on my other blog ‘tomjackfox’ so if you have any time, feel free to have a read. Anyway, today’s blog is about both ‘Change’ and how it can mess you up or make you stronger, and ‘Smiling’.

Change is something we all have to go through, I mean, nothing we do will ever make everything stay the same. Some Change is good, some is bad, but all is unexpected. Even if you know something’s going to change, it is never as you fully expect it, and therefore it is surprising. In my own experience, Change is like Karma. If you do something good, things will change for the greater good, whereas if you do something bad, things change for the worse.

However, saying that, it doesn’t mean we can’t choose to change. A lot of people talk about how you should be who you are, not do things because everyone else wants you to, but if you want to, feel free too. Even though I’m against peer pressure, it’s up to you. You control your life nobody else. So, if you want to change, you have the right too, don’t listen to any of the god damn negativity surrounding today’s society. Change, however unexpected, can be controlled. Like I’ve said in my other blogs, I’m constantly trying to change, and trying to get other people to change, but a lot of people dislike change. Maybe they need to buckle down, and ready themselves, because change is everywhere, and in today’s day and age, change is just around the corner, every single god damn corner.

I love to smile. I love to say happy. I think if you have a positive aspect and look at things, you’re bound to affect other people around you. However, not enough of us smile. People get angry over the stupidest of things and cause physical and emotional pain for things done or said. I dislike these types of people, and even though at times I am just like that, as I tend to hit people randomly, I try and not emotionally hurt people as I know, as well as every other teenager across the world, that it hurts in the gut

So, next time you’re out and about, smile. Lighten up someone’s day by looking beyond the stupid and unneeded negativity and brightening the atmosphere. And I know…it hurts. It hurts a lot sometimes when you try and do something nice only to be punished for you’re outburst of goodness. But hell, if you keep trying, maybe you’ll make a small difference. I know I’d like too, but I’m a coward. I would never hit someone purposely in an action to actually hurt them, and if I did, I would apologise. But if I never have, I’m sorry.

So that’s all my uninspired mind could conjure up, I hope it hit you (spiritually though) somewhere, and inspires you to smile. Feel free to comment, and I’ll post as soon as I can, possibly sooner rather than later.

Being Nice: The Consequences

Hey all,

I care because I care, But I don't care if you're aware...

Being nice is probably one of the hardest things for people to do in life at the moment. With today’s society being so god damn greedy, cruel and selfish, it’s hard to make someone feel good all the time. As you know, I’ve been doing my best the past couple of weeks to change. To become a better person, put my life on the table and arrange it nicely. Well, it was all going nicely. Some people were surprised. For example somebody commented towards me that ‘How incredibly weird is that kid?’ A month ago, I would have nodded and agreed just to get him off my back but instead I turned around and muttered ‘Look, what has that kid done to you? Leave the poor guy alone.’ Funnily enough, the person seemed to shut his mouth for the rest of the lesson.

You see, everything has been fine and dandy the past couple of weeks. I mean, top marks and great effort, it’s all seemed to work out fine for me. But today…today was a broken pencil inside a jar of well sharpened stationary. The pinnacle to the day, but in a bad way… Anyway, a semi-argument (mostly one-sided) broke out about who should be and who shouldn’t be allowed to play football with us at Lunch-time. Okay, it’s a stupid thing to argue about, but at an All-boys school [sarcasm] that’s all that matters [/sarcasm]. So, some guys were saying that certain people shouldn’t be playing because they were a) weird b) new (to playing) or c) friends of others who weren’t there friends (if that makes any sense at all). Well, I, being the ‘changed’ nice guy disagreed. I turned around and said ‘I’m sorry but nobody should decide who deserves to play and who doesn’t, careless to what certain individuals think of them.’ I’d understand if they had genuine reasons like ‘he only plays with us because of the football we have’ or because ‘they play unfairly and viciously’ but no, the reasons somewhat lacked ‘reason’. So anyway, there reply was ‘you two-faced ‘cunt’’, I answered ‘why?’ and they decided they weren’t going to speak to me anymore. Well I’m sorry, but just because I did the right thing and spoke out my true opinion does not make me anyway in the slightest two faced. These guys though…

Chavs, Scallyways…Call them what you like, always effing and jeffing, speaking about how ‘weird’ we are and how ‘childish’ we are. It’s called humour, personality and only true friends will understand that. My real friends stood up with me today. So, no, I don’t look at this as a bad day. Oh contrary, today has been a revolutionary day. I will go in on Monday, careless to them and there ways and will carry on being nice, doing good things. Because in the end, I know what I did was right. And as Vanessa Anne Hudgens said in High School Musical 2 (Honestly) ‘You’ll have to look in the mirror long enough to see what will always be behind you.’

Thanks for reading. I decided to write this because I needed to express my feelings onto paper. Oh, and Mike, we really shit-scared those three school kids on the way home. ‘We is well hard INIT’.

Do we deserve this?

Hey all,

The most perfect beings have the most imperfect meanings…

Well, don’t we all just love surprises? Top of the class in effort this week, and I’m chuffed to bits. It pretty much stunned everyone, including myself, but hey, my real friends were the ones who didn’t go ‘Oh my god, Tom got top of the table, how the hell did they do that?’ They were more like ‘Wahoo! Nice one my brother from another mother.’ Ha. So all in all, it’s been a pretty good second part of the week. But as the school week comes to an end, I’ve been given a few more things to write about, including some R.E inspiration.

‘Do we deserve this?’ Personally, I think it’s debateable. Do we deserve all this we have? Speaking as a kid, probably not…I have a lot of stuff, and in all honestly I don’t need it, I just want it. With adults it’s different, I mean, you worked for where you are today, whether you’re a bin man or a brain sergeant. It’s what you did in life to be there, so you, in theory, may well deserve it. But hell, this isn’t about Adults right? This is about me, and those around me, which, believe it or not consists of teenagers.

Right. I don’t know what your opinion on this is, but mine is that maybe we should do a bit more for charity. I watched a somewhat inspiring video about children across Africa the other day, and it gave me a lot to think about. 95% of the children I watched had AIDS. 95% god damn percent! But you know what got me the most. Every single one of them, were smiling! SMILING! Doesn’t it just make you think? When you lose your Ipod or break your phone, you get all grouchy and depressed. But should you? Be happy for what you have. I mean, our R.E teacher was telling us that, while in some sort of angry state, we should respect what we have and actually listen in class, stop talking. And, funnily enough, I agreed. I mean, these children in the poor parts of the world would give anything for an education, and here most of us are, chatting away through lessons, forgetting to do homework, leaving schoolwork till last minute, oh and believe me, I do it all the time. Maybe we should just let the teachers do their jobs, get a good education and make a difference to the world. I know that’s what I want to do, but do you?

Even though one man can make a difference, doesn’t mean we have to depend on him. Just imagine what would happen if we all made a difference. Think about it. I don’t always speak rubbish. I know I want to make a difference.

Why should YOU care?

Hey all,

Stand up and speak out, tell them what you’re about.

I have a lot to speak about today. A lot of different subjects lingering in my mind, but I came to a conclusion that I’d start of by writing about something we can all relate too. In today’s world, especially in this country, people, linking to my previous blog post, enjoy putting people down. What I want to know is what If we just didn’t take it anymore? What if, for once in our god damn lives, we stood up, told those complete idiots to ‘Shut the hell up!’ and left, not giving them a chance to even reply. A lot of us have been in a situation and wished we could do that, but a lot of us just find it…difficult.

I personally find it scary, as I always seem to think of the negative consequences, some of the abusive things they might return. But hell, who are they to be calling the names? They’re the kind of people that cause emotional pain, which could even result in physical pain. But do they care? No. All they care about is themselves and their own status. My advice is to just ignore them. They confront you in the corridor, either walk on or simply say ‘It’s none of your god damn business.’

Moving on, I have a few words to say about Friends. We all have them, doubtless to how many, but do we trust them all? I don’t, and I never will. Real friends are people you can trust, and I’ve had many past experiences to realise that, take it in, and let it settle. But have I taken action? No. Why? Because like many others, I don’t have the guts to tell those who need telling exactly how I feel. You could say I’m scared, but I think it’s more like weary. I don’t want to create a conflict which could ruin other people’s atmosphere. Though, playing along isn’t the right thing to do either is it? Besides, confidence is what I believe makes the world goes round, and the more you have, the stronger you are, all depending on how you use it. It’s like your very own super power.

Now, apart from those I don’t trust, there are those I do. We all need real friends. To make us laugh, to make us work, to help us out, and more importantly to be there whenever we need them, willing to help us with any problems we have. Willing to do anything, depending on how sensible it is. I like to think I’m someone who can be a good friend, but I don’t think I’ve reached that yet. Maybe in a year, maybe in two. Hopefully, some day that will just be another achievement in the book. Everyone has their good qualities and their bad, but I think nearly everyone has someone they can trust, and for those who don’t, I really do feel sorry for. The other day, a good friend motivated me to do 6 laps of a 400m course in 12 minutes. I mean what the hell? Any other time, I would have pooped out during the 3^rd or 4^th lap and just momentarily died, but thanks to him and the fact I didn’t want to disappoint him, I managed it. Some people didn’t believe it, and probably still don’t. But I do, and so do my REAL friends. Which is all that matters right?

Why should people care?

Hey all,

Those who trap me in their cage, for them, I will never change.

So, it’s pretty late. Today was yet another Lazy day, in which I got a guitar to finally practice on, thought then realised just how difficult learning it was going to be. But, let’s leave that for another post, maybe when I can actually hold a note before screaming out in anger and shouting at the instrument as if it can hear me.

Topic for today’s post is pretty simple, ‘Why should people care?’ Well, a simple definition could be ‘Because they should’ but I’m not looking at that aspect, I’m talking about privacy and such. For example, say you do something embarrassing in a small group, which is funny to everyone but you (believe me, been there, done that), you don’t want anyone else to know right? Well tough shit. Because they’ll find out, they always do one way or another. People always find out. But why should they care right? Well, a simple definition to that question would be ‘So they have someone to laugh at.’ And why is that you ask? Because people don’t care how you feel. It’s Ironic really. They care about what you do, just not how you feel.

It’s these species of people, like in my previous blog post, that just want attention. And believe me, I’ve done it before, I’ve been one of these people. But believe me when I say I’ve regretted it, watching that poor kids face as people surround him, cackling as they recite the embarrassing thing he did. But I was too scared to do anything about it, and I always have been. But, as you readers know, I’m trying to change.

So, what do you do if you’re stuck in this situation? It’s an easy and confidence boosting method really, and I’m currently using it. Basically, you just ignore them. I know, I know, ignore it and it goes away. Not true really. People just seem determined to make you pay attention, and will go around doing it in numerous ways. In truth, the only way you can beat these kind off people is by stretching your confidence, standing up and shouting ‘I don’t give a flying monkeys about what you say, what you think or what you’re going to do.’

God, it sounds like some advice column for crying out loud. You see, I’m just ranting about the fact that people only seem to care when it’s entertaining for themselves, and when it digs you in the stomach. I’ve been through and know people who’ve been through this, and in all honestly, there was minimum harm. All in all, it probably helped them in some strange way. But hey, I’m not finished just yet, so keep reading please.

Also, a friend was telling me a while back about people who only seem to care when they want to know what’s happening. This, my good readers, is all about your instincts. Say you’re in a foul mood, and someone you know and/or trust walks up to you asking ‘what’s up buddy?’ I would probably turn around and tell them what my problem was. But if someone who doesn’t really take notice in you from time to time walks up to you and asks the same thing, I, and many other people would turn around and just tell him to ‘Walk the hell away before I hurt you in places you didn’t even know you had.’ Though, sometimes it isn’t as easy as that. Sometimes you have to judge them in a matter of seconds, and you could either make a right decision or make a horrible wrong one. That’s what life is all about though right? Taking risks.

Beliefs.

Hey all,

Outside I’m screaming, whilst inside I’m dreaming.

My god, this week has been cram packed with work. Information Overload maybe? I have ICT Coursework for Wednesday, which I might just get finished, Maths for Monday, which I probably won’t get finished and English Research for Monday, which is either side. It’s been a tough week, which is the main reason I’ve lacked attention to this blog.

Anyway, like the title says this Blog post is going to be based on Beliefs. I’m not speaking religious talk here, I’m speaking in a moral sense, what’s right and wrong for example. Well, Since the last couple of weeks, I’ve really began to notice just how much people differ from another, and just how much they differ from the people I thought they were. It’s strange really, seeing people in a new light, its kind off refreshing, but at the same time scary when you realise just how deceptive your friends turn out to be. But, some-how, I’ve managed to take it out head on, as some-what unexpected bursts of confidence have hit me and have seemed to be growing as the days go by. Lucky me right?

Well, back to the point, these new people I see, with these open eyes, have managed to reveal their beliefs to me unknowingly. I can see ‘behind their mask’. A lot of these guys seem to abuse people for no reason, and along with being a victim, I am also a culprit in my previous years at school. But now, I’m older, and you could say I’ve seen the light but a lot of my friends haven’t. You just don’t abuse someone for no reason. Okay, abusing someone for an individual reason is unfair as well, but that’s life, sometimes we do that and few of us regret it later. Those who do regret it must feel bad about what they’ve said or done; and in total honestly I would if I had said something out of order or uncalled for.

What I’m trying to say is that, a lot of people have different beliefs to what seems fit to them. Some people give it out, but can’t take it back, and I believe that these people are mere scum of the earth. Those who say hurtful things so they can entertain others, act cool, impress people. They obviously don’t even care; don’t even regret it later on even when they see the victim’s poor tearful face as he tries to act like he doesn’t care. All in all, I’ve done these things, and so much more. But I’m done with that now, I’ve moved onto bigger things. Like stopping these people, showing them ‘the light’. I suppose I’m just trying to be a better person.

Maybe I should become a preacher? Heh. Right, that’s me over and out. Have a good weekend Bloggers.
